Reserva Tinto 2012
The DALVA DOP Reserva red 2012, is the pure expression of the Douro with all the diversity of the native grape varietals and locations, with unique climates and soils.
C. da Silva has found the best balance in this blend, preserving each of the elements that reflect the terroir of this region and has aged it to increase its complexity.
Grapes from old vineyards of the Douro region, predominantly Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Nacional, totally destemmed, macerated and fermented under temperature control in order to highlight the aromas of the grapes and a offer a fresh and delayed tasting.
Aged for eight months in 600 liters french oak casks which has increased the complexity and aromas of vanilla and coffee beans with a spicy finish.
Paired mainly with rich meat dishes, game and strong flavoured cheeses, or can be stored for a nice dinner in a few years from now.
Should be served at 16º to 18ºC.
